EDLYD Auction was founded in 2016 in Sofia, Bulgaria, with a single conviction: that the auction tradition — its rigour, its scholarship, its theatre — deserved to be carried on in our city. From our sale room on Gurgulyat Street, we have spent nearly a decade conducting live auctions called from the rostrum, in the classical manner of the great European houses.

Our two principal fields are antiques and contemporary art. In antiques, we work with provenanced furniture, decorative arts, icons, silver and works on paper drawn from Bulgarian and European collections. In contemporary art, we represent the secondary market for established artists and, selectively, primary sales from studios whose practice we follow closely.

EDLYD Auction operates as a registered auction house under Bulgarian law. The company is entered into the Commercial Register under EIK/PIK 203992585, with its registered seat at 7 Gurgulyat Street, 1st Floor, Sofia, Bulgaria.

Sales are conducted live by our auctioneer, with bidding from the floor, by telephone and through absentee commission. Every lot we accept is researched, catalogued and presented with the seriousness our consignors and bidders expect of an established house.
