    Nigeria, Mumuye ethnic group 13 x 11 x 78 cm (H with base 85 cm) Mumuye Lagalagana female statuette depicted standing in a hieratic position, small face with a pointed nose, circular eyes and a slightly open mouth revealing a beautiful row of teeth, she has a crest hairstyle, large pierced dangling ears with large holes give her a particular elegance. The arms are detached from the body, the hands on either side of the prominent navel, the elbows extend backward. The hips, similar to the shoulders, rest on zigzag-shaped legs.

    Gabon, Mbete ethnic group 14 x 13 x 61 cm Anthropozoomorphic statue with an elongated torso on short, muscular, bent legs. The arms are close to the torso, the hands placed on either side of the prominent navel. The particularly strong neck, adorned with a necklace of colored beads and a tooth, supports the diamond-shaped head with a slightly open mouth revealing two rows of fine teeth, the eyes are materialized by two shells. A sagittal crest is flanked by lateral braids adorned with incised parallel lines. The back is hollowed out with a hole serving as a receptacle for ancestral relics. The torso of the statue is covered with thick layers of kaolin, white being the symbolic color of the afterlife. Wood with crusty patina.

Oval face with an open square mouth, the nose extends with a sagittal line to the wide summit crescent which joins the bulk of the lateral wings, each extending into a pendant. The neck is ringed and the body is diamond-shaped. Hardwood plated with brass and copper sheets.

A ring adorns the scarified neck. The body is diamond-shaped. Hardwood plated with brass and copper sheets.

Heads topped with a horn, rectangular mouths slightly open, almond-shaped eyes, eyebrows decorated with nails. Both statuettes are adorned with necklaces and earrings made of rope and shells.     Gabon, Fang ethnic group 14 x 19 x 68 cm (H with base 75 cm) Hermaphroditic ithyphallic Byeri reliquary statue depicted standing on short legs, arms with fingered and joined hands are bent and raised under the chest which is attached to the neck. Two iron rings encircle the feet. The crack on the abdomen has been cross-stitched with vegetable fiber. The long hairstyle is beautifully elaborated, falling onto the shoulders, it is pierced in its back to fix feathers. The eyes are materialized by circular metal plates nailed to the face.
