Their expressive attitudes, stretched necks, and slightly raised heads reflect the keen sense of observation of nature characteristic of Han artisans. These zoomorphic figures accompanied the deceased in tombs, symbolizing prosperity and the continuity of life in the afterlife. Remnants of original polychromy and beautiful burial patina.
